iPhone 6 is Here at Last- What Do You Think?

So… it’s finally arrived. Some Apple fans- at least- have been waiting with bated breath for the latest iteration of the iPhone, and it’s here at last. As with any new Apple launch, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus raise lots of questions.

Is the launch of a new iPhone still the exciting event it was perceived to be in the early days of the first iPhone, the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS? Or has the lustre started to finally wear off?

Are they still innovative?

What do you think of the direction of the iPhone line since Steve Jobs died almost three years ago? The new iPhones both feature larger screens than their predecessors, but Jobs was known to have been resistant to this trend. Many have claimed that Apple lost market share due to their lack of models featuring larger displays, and that this is their response. Have they made the right choice here, and should they be trying to copy everything the competition do? Has a company that once led in design terms been forced into playing catch-up?

How do you feel about the styling on the new iPhone 6? Does it seem like an improvement or worthwhile change on the sharper-edged iPhone 5S design, or is it a step backwards towards the earlier iPhone design styles?

Most importantly, will you be buying one?

Angus and Fife might not be California, where Apple are based, but Apple’s latest iPhones and iPads certainly become popular here quickly enough, and we don’t expect the iPhone 6 to be any different to the Apple iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C in that respect.
