iPhone 6 Plus Screen Assembly Replacement Process

Here at Mac Repair, we’ve already shown you a screen assembly replacement on the regular iPhone 6. Although the Apple iPhone 6 Plus came out around the same time, it’s a lot less common- however, we’re now able to bring you an illustrated breakdown of the replacement of its screen as well.

The iPhone 6 Plus has a larger 5.5″ display (compared to its sibling’s 4.7″ screen).

Again, the screen assembly is basically a single unit combining everything in a single unit- unlike some phones, these can’t be replaced separately, so we fit them as one.

We show the major steps below, but as always, this isn’t a complete breakdown, and we’ve left out a few clever tricks that we’re not planning on letting our rivals copy!

The phone has now been disassembled.

Before finishing the process, we check that the new screen is working correctly. Good news- it is!

The iPhone 6 Plus with its replacement screen looks as good as new. Once we’ve run our usual quality-control tests on it, the phone can be collected by the customer.
