Diehard Apple Fans Forever!
By DD Tech In UncategorizedHere’s the story as it appeared in Dundee’s Evening Telegraph on the 28th of May 2010:-
“First in Line in Aberdeen”
One Dundee man decided not to risk missing out on the first batch of iPads to go on sale in the city and made an overnight journey to be the first in the queue at Aberdeen’s Apple store.
Dad of three Steve Gilruth said “I wasn’t sure if they were actually going to be in Dundee, but I wanted to visit the Apple store anyway.
“I’ve been to Apple stores in the US, and I wanted to see how the ones over here UK compared.
“I love my Apple devices!
“I’ve a Mac, an iPhone and an iPod, and this is going to be the next big thing so I really wanted to get one.”
Steve decided to make the trek yesterday when he booked today off from his work as senior technician at the Disc Depot computer store in Dundee’s Union Street.
“I left Dundee at midnight,” he said. “I was up there by around 1am, but there was nobody at the Apple store in Union Square.
“People started arriving about 4am. They opened Union Square about 6.30am and the actual Apple store at 8.”
